The need has never been greater. Since the passage of H.R. 1 in July 2025, federal estimates project that millions of families will lose access to essential support— including approximately 3 million fewer people receiving SNAP benefits (an estimate $186-300 billion will be taken out of the program in the next 10 years) and about 10 million more people becoming uninsured, largely due to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act changes Medicaid will lose over $1 trillion reduction in federal health spending. These programs largely support single parent led households but predominantly— single mother led households.

The Second Fund provides direct cash assistance to single-parent households, helping families bridge financial gaps when public assistance falls short. Every donation is an investment in stability, opportunity, and the next generation. Every dollar donated goes directly to families in need and awards are small to medium rating between $55-555 depending on what the family applies for.
